No. Aberon is fully self-hosted and works in air-gapped environments. Zero outbound connections. License verification is offline (cryptographic signature, no phone-home).

Do I need a license key for the Free tier?

No. Free tier works out of the box — no license key, no time limit. Download, deploy, start using.

What happens when a paid license expires?

Nothing breaks. Your data stays. You simply revert to Free tier limits (3 agents, 5 users, 500 traces/day). Renew anytime to restore your plan.

How does licensing work?

You receive a cryptographically signed license.key file. Place it next to docker-compose.yml, restart. Verification is entirely offline — no license server, no internet required.
